Quay Studio designed and successfully received planning permission for the upgrades to revitalise a dilapidated property in Pentire, Newquay. The proposal included external works, such as forming an entrance porch extension to the front, creating a first floor terrace to the existing flat roof and new exterior renders/finishes. The interior of the building has had the full over-haul with a completely new layout, finishes, fittings and fixtures. The design ensures overshadowing and overlooking are kept to a minimum, and retaining the usable area within the dwelling & roof spaces. With respect to the Cornish design guide, all finishes stated are of traditional design and origin. Pre-weathered zinc roof covering with smooth sand/cement render & vertical cladding finishes to the elevations. High quality black aluminium windows and doors are proposed to all elevations.
