The Good Space
The Good Space asked us to create a unique space that promoted well-being and agile working. The building is situated on one of the main commuting roads to Bristol, making it a great location to be noticed. The beautiful exterior, surrounding grounds and large front windows was the inspiration for bringing ‘outdoors, in’. The interior space, quite small and lacking features, forced us to get creative. Firstly, we felt it important to create a focal point from the road, we did this by designing a timber ‘shed’ silhouette paired with feature graphics to draw the eye. Cantilevered off the ‘shed’ structure, space-efficient, unique working areas are created. The structure provides a good base for hanging plants and lighting, allowing the client to adjust the environment to their mood. The front bench provides all the essential storage for the client, whilst creating a relaxing area to sit by the window, overlooking the bowling green and tennis club opposite.
